DEATH

The meal of fate every man is served,
A cold meal only mortal deserves .
A fact stranger than fiction,
We all have no option.

The sequence it follows,
No one knows.
Like whirlwind it blows,
Its a debt we all owe.
A price we must pay,
That's what the sages say.

If the truth must be told,
It may not come when you are old.
It creeps in when its least expected,
It never can be predicted.

I believe someday I will die,
But I hope it isn't nigh.
While those around me may cry,
My soul shall keep smiling on high.
